Total Number of Questions in PTE Academic & Their Description

The PTE Academic exam consists of 20 question types, divided into three sections: Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening. Section 1: Speaking & Writing (54–67 minutes)

This section tests your ability to communicate effectively in English. It consists of seven question types, with approximately 28–36 questions in total.

Section 2: Reading (29–30 minutes)

This section assesses your ability to read and understand written English. It consists of five question types, with approximately 13–18 questions in total.
