Grammar for reading

  Grammar Rules for Reading Blanks:  1). Noun : A word that names a person, place, thing, or idea. Examples:  Person: teacher, friend Place: park, school Thing: book, car Idea: love, happiness 2). Write Essay

  (You will have to write/type an essay on a topic which consists of 200-300 words in 20 minutes. There are two main types of essays asked in the PTE exam; argumentative essay and descriptive essay. Respond to a Situation (New Task)

  Goal:   Respond appropriately to a scenario clearly and politely, using correct tone. Timing:  ~40 seconds Template Structure: Hi (person to address) I hope you are doing well.  paraphrase the question in your own words.  “In this situation, I would suggest [ACTION].” “To address this issue, we can [SOLUTION].” “This approach will ensure [BENEFIT]. “If there’s anything else you’d like me to assist with, I’d be happy to do so.” “Thank you for your patience and understanding.” Bye, see you around.  Key Tips: Maintain  polite, professional tone . Speak  fluently : minimal hesitation, natural rhythm. Use  context-specific vocabulary : workplace, academic, daily life. Respond  fully  — do not leave ideas unfinished. Keep your response  40–50 words  for clarity and completeness.

Summarize Group Discussion (New Task)

  Goal:   Capture main points of multiple speakers clearly, coherently, and objectively. Timing:  ~2 minutes total Template Structure “The discussion focused on [TOPIC].” “A panel of experts discussed [TOPIC] and shared various viewpoints.” “This group discussion addressed the key issues related to [TOPIC]. Summarize Spoken Text

  (Summarize Spoken text is a task you need to write a summary of audio in 50-70 words in 10 minutes. The audio will be around 1 to 2 minutes longs. Here, you need to understand the spoken words, collect the key points and summarize. This is the very high scoring task.) This brief and explicit summary encapsulates the (phrase 1). It has been demonstrated that (phrase 2). The speaker also gave brief information about (phrase 3). Furthermore, it was also delineated that (phrase 4). Therefore, after considering all the substantial ideas of the lecture, it can be said that (phrase 5).

Retell Lecture

  (In this task after PTE Listening or watching the video, re-tell the lecture in your own words. The audio length will be up to 90 seconds and you will get 40 seconds to answer in your own words. You must speak for at least 35 seconds and complete your answer with key highlights from the lecture. You must finish speaking before the progress bar reaches the end. Do remember that if you are silent for more than 3 seconds, the recorder will stop recording your voice.) (Topic) was the main topic of the lecture. Firstly, the speaker told about (Phrase 1). Reorder Paragraph

  1) To find out the first sentence identify the independent sentence (i.e. gives little information about the main topic) 2) To find second sentence, find out the sentence which gives more information than first sentence. OR  Follow pair making process. (make pair of 2-2 paragraphs) 3)  Past – Present – future, On one hand – on the other hand , firstly – secondly, Then- now  Order making process. (For correct order, place the sentence first which provides little information than that of others)
